4th Internacional Meeting – Clube CHAPAS, in Coimbra
International CHAPAS Club Meeting, in Coimbra. Employees of several Portuguese insurance companies from the Centre and North of the country were present, as well as Leon Aziz, American collector of insurance sheets.
day 16 – The programme of this meeting included “Fado ao Centro – arts and entertainment”:
- Welcoming the participants
- Introducing CHAPAS Club
- History of Fado of Coimbra, with live presentation of allusive songs and chants
- Insurance chapas exhibition
- Closing with a “Port of Honour”.
day 17 – Guided visit to the historical part of the city of Coimbra and Mondego River and a walk through the Lousã Mountain, with a visit to the schist villages – Candal and Talasnal.
